Highfield Surgery Patient Participation Group (PPG)

Dear Fellow Patient,

Welcome to Highfield Surgery Patient Participation Group (PPG) Webpage.

The Healthwatch Bucks’ video provides a good summary of what PPG is all about.

Watch ‘The Healthwatch Bucks’ video:

Highfield Surgery Patients Participating Group (PPG) is run by volunteer patients to strengthen the relationship between the surgery and you, the patient. PPG is there as a critical friend of the surgery.

Following video clips from PPG Management Team, PPG Ambassadors, PPG Champions and Practice Manager will show you we work as a TEAM -‘Together Everyone Achieves More in achieving our goals.

Highfield Surgery has over 7100 patients.  Overall, 89% of Highfield Surgery patients describe their overall experience as good compared to 75% across other local surgeries and 74 % nationally. Please take some time to complete the GP Patient Survey (GP Patient Survey) or comment on Highfield Surgery at Complaints and feedback - Highfield Surgery. Please view our Friends and Family results here NHS Friends and Family Results - Highfield Surgery

PPG has set up Friends of Highfield Surgery PPG Forum to help us to learn from patient experience. 200 patients have already signed up. You can sign up and help us achieve our target of 700. (The application form is below) PPG will contact you once a year to take part in a survey to hear and learn what they feel about services provided by the surgery. We will email you Highfield Surgery PPG Newsletter in March/June/September/December.

‘Your Surgery – Your Voice’. We are looking for patients to become PPG Ambassadors, PPG Champions and PPG Volunteers. If you would like to help us, please get in touch with Bal Chauhan, Chair, or Chris Wilson, Vice Chair, of PPG to have a chat via email:  ChairHighfieldSurgeryPPG@outlook.com.

The PPG organised a Prostate Cancer Awareness Event at the surgery on Saturday, 18 April 2026. A total of 66 men attended and underwent PSA testing on the day.

Patients who were unable to secure a PSA test appointment can still arrange testing either at the surgery or at Wycombe Hospital on 20 June 2026. This event is being organised by the Chiltern Prostate Cancer Support Group. Please see the attached posters for further information.

Kind regards,

Bal Chauhan, Chair of Highfield Surgery PPG

Please note that the Highfield Surgery PPG cannot get involved in any aspect of patient’s medical or clinical health or any complaints linked to their health.
